FAQ

Q: Is Vaping safe?

A: Millions of people around the globe enjoy vaping every day! While inhaling anything aside from clean fresh air may not be inherently healthy per se, vaping provides a vehicle for nicotine use that is free of the thousands of carcinogens that are found in traditional cigarettes. Perhaps this article will help shed some more light on the subject. (click here)

Q: What level of nicotine should I consider?

A: Comparing vaping to traditional smoking in a puff by puff manner is really like comparing apples to hockey pucks. To simplify: Cigarettes are measured by milligrams per cancer stick. Whereas e-liquids are measured in milligrams per milliliter.  If your cancer stick is say, 10mg each and you smoke ten of these per day, you’d have consumed 100mg of nicotine over the course of a day. Now, if your e-liquid is 3mg, you would have to consume just over 33ml per day of liquid to get roughly the same amount of nicotine consumed. Now to consume this much liquid daily would be absolutely silly. It may take some trial and error to find what works best for you, but don’t be afraid to experiment!

Q: Is my e-cigarette going to explode?

A: We go to great lengths to provide only the best devices possible. When used as intended, you’ll be assured a long, safe and reliable experience from your chosen vape device. You may have seen vaping devices going up in smoke in the media. Rest assured that in every case recorded that these were improperly used, abused and often modified by the user.

Q: What’s in e-liquid?

A: The short version: Read the label! It’s all there in black and white.

The longer version: E-liquid contains basically four ingredients. None of which are harmful or carcinogenic. Compared to tobacco smoking which is in the thousands of toxins. Primarily your vaping liquid is a mixture of Vegetable Glycerine (VG), Mono-propylene Glycol (PG), Flavourings and Nicotine. VG and PG are both used as commercial sweeteners, and you probably use them every day in everything from drinks to sweets to cosmetics. Flavourings are either natural or artificial. Nicotine is classified as a stimulant, much like caffeine.

Q: Does this taste burnt to you?

A: The heating element, or coil, in your device will eventually wear out. Excessive sweeteners etc. tend to build up on the coil and decrease its function. This leads to an unpleasant flavour in the end. Our resident guru did a great blog on the subject, give it a read here! (click here)

Q: Why vape instead of smoking?

A: The simple answer is that smoking WILL kill you. Thousands of toxins in cigarette smoke lead to countless illnesses. Vaping allows you to consume nicotine in a much safer manner. While we aren’t licensed Medi-Bots, we do encourage you to ask your doctor and do your own research on the subject. Perhaps this article is a good place to start: (click here)
